Hmm, this is a little difficult, but I would probably take the form of Maggie Lawson. Why? Because she’s my ultimate female crush, and I don’t know why, but I’d kill to be as awesome as her.

G: Would you rather burn or freeze to death?

This is actually a really hard question to answer. I got burnt when I was young, head to know fire and all that hooplah. So I’m probably not going to want that to happen to me ever again. However, freezing to death? One of my greatest phobias is being alone in a very cold room. It came from my first stay at a hospital and because of that I could never really tolerate being very cold for long periods of time… I would have to freezing to death though, because it seems to be less painful?

U: If you were old enough and not in a situation where it would be inappropriate, would you sleep with one of your (past) school teachers/professors?

Omg, yes. I’ve always had the biggest crush on my PE teacher way back when in highschool. And if it was not inappropriate, and if there was absolutely nothing wrong with it? Then the answer would be yes.

See again, you’re putting your definitions of abuse on my cultural upbringing again. Belts and hangers are fine for me because they’re not connected to my parents. They’re instruments of discipline.

I don’t have to be scared that my parents would suddenly hurt me out the blue because they never did. I looked to the belt/hanger as punishment because it would only appear when I’ve done something wrong.

Again, let me clarify, it isn’t done EVERYTIME I did something wrong. Because that would be useless and it wouldn’t make any sense. But when I did something really bad, then that would happen.

And it was on the bum, never on our faces.

It depends on how you were raised as a kid.

Also, it also depends a lot on culture. In the Philippines, it’s absolutely normal to get punished. By calling it as abuse you’re mislabeling as if parents get some sort of twisted enjoyment out of it. That was not the point.

The point for me, and I completely agree with it, is that as kids, we needed to realize that all of our actions have consequences. Everything we do had leads to something whether good or bad.

It’s effective for me, it was effective for my brother, it’s also effective for most of the Filipinos that I’ve met and grew up with. So, I don’t understand the need for people to label my parents as physical abusers because, um… no they’re not.

Discipline is one thing, abuse is another.

Hmm, Dad would use a belt (only before highschool) and Mom would maybe use her hands and sometimes a hanger.

It’s not as bad as it sounds. They didn’t do it angrily, they would always sit us down first, and talk about what we did wrong and why were getting hit about it.

And it’s usually really bad things…

Hahaha, I just don’t understand the never hit your kids principle when it comes to raising your kids. My brother and I grew up just fine, you know?
